Welcome to Young Hollywood. com. What's up guys? It's Michelle Marie. I am here with Taboo and Apple here of the Black Eyed Peas.
Peace, peace, peace.
We're celebrating the Grammys right now, aren't we?
We're definitely celebrating. Yeah, we're doing great stuff.
How are you feeling?
Oh, great. I'm very excited to perform and yeah.
You're nominated for six Grammys, but you're more excited to perform. Tell us more about the performance and what we can expect.
Well, don't get me wrong. I'm excited about the the nominations as well, but to be able to perform on such a big stage. We've done the Grammys before. Now, this is our first time being nominated on camera. So crazy. So, hopefully we take some home for the city of Los Angeles and all the people who support the peace, you know.
I've been seeing you around town for years and years and years. You guys have been around. I mean, I remember having the album back in the day when I was in high school and you guys have just stuck to it.
I'm uh 21.
Nice. Apple just turned 21.
Yeah, it feels weird, you know. To be able to drink.
Yeah, you can drink, right? So, what's going on for the weekend? I saw you guys last night on stage at the Playdome. You guys killed it. What else are you guys up to?
Uh we have the uh Clive Davis party tomorrow. And then uh get ready for the big show on Sunday.
You guys have just kind of blown up this year in the mainstream success. You've always had it, but this year is just like the icing on the cake. What was maybe a few things that you could tell us about that was your most memorable moment?
Oprah. Yeah, that was The Flash mob. Um 26 weeks on number one. That's pretty cool. 26 weeks. And then we did our, uh, you know, our first leg of our tour in uh in uh Asia, Japan. So that was, you know, that was good.
Now, with this album you guys really just created more of a fresh sound and it's a little bit different from your previous albums.
About us is that we go to clubs, dance, rolling up our DJs. So you know, it was the the the movement of the youth, the pulse of the youth and you know, the electro scene really kind of inspired and uh, you know, we like to get inspired by other different sounds. You know, it's it's a it's a good thing to reinvent your sound and to to experiment and and to try new things.
So what's next for you guys? What are we going to see next with the Black Eyed Peas?
We're touring. So we're coming to a city near you, town near you. And then eventually a country near you because we're going to be going overseas as well.
Oh my gosh. When do you find time for yourselves? And when you are hanging out by yourselves without working, what do you do?
Watching movies, you know, bowling. You know, we like to shop so new places.
Speaking of shopping, let's look at the style right here. Head to toe. Rocking, rocking, rocking the plaid and leather. What are those?
These are Super. Oh, I love it. Super.
What about you? What are you rocking right now?
Oh, I'm actually rocking jumps. These are Taboo's booth. Um they're they're uh part of his line. And uh yeah. And my Swiss Army big watch.
Nice. I like the big watch too. Look, I'm rocking mine. I got my G-Shock.
That is G-Shock. To go with my Mamoon belt. What's up y'all? This is Apple D app. This is your boy Taboo. We the Black Eyed Peas. We want to give a big shout-out to Young Hollywood. Stay tuned. Stay locked cuz tonight's going to be a good night. Black Eyed Peas style.
