Stars of VH1's "The Pickup Artist"

Welcome to Younghollywood. com. R. J. Williams with Young Hollywood here now. You may have seen the new show on VH1 called The Pickup Artist. Well, here we go. We got the pickup artists, Matador and Mystery.

My mother is so proud of me. I grew up to be a pickup artist. So what the heck is a pickup artist? You know, from meeting a woman to beginning a sexual relationship, it goes through a series of natural phases. Not my phases, they're a woman's phases. Any man who knows what those phases are and can meet the objectives of each of those phases is a pickup artist. So there are five key attraction switches that are evolutionarily hardwired into a woman's attraction mechanism. And the first is pre-selection. That's the most important. Do other women find you attractive and are they comfortable with you? You need to prove to her that you have women in your life. That doesn't mean that you're chasing all those women, but rather that you have options. That is a huge indicator of the type of man that you are. There's also the leader of men. Can you demonstrate to a woman that you are, in fact, the tribal leader. Now, that doesn't mean you have to become the president of the United States. Just are you the tribal leader of your own leadership circle, of your family, your friends, your loved ones? Do you take care of them? The third key, or the third attraction switch, is protector of loved ones. Do you have loved ones that you take care of, a little sister that you would gladly, uh, uh, crack someone over the head in order to protect her? But if somebody's suffering emotionally or physically or monetarily, are you there for them? Are you a good friend in essence? You know, that demonstrations of these. The fourth one, of course, is the willingness to emote. For people have known, people think the stoic, silent, James Bond type is cool. Well, guess what? You don't know anything about James Bond because he doesn't say anything. You're able to show emotion, and most importantly, that when you do show emotion, it fires properly. You get mad when it's appropriate. You get sad when it's appropriate. You're happy. Your emotions are wired in a healthy manner. Women need to see what type of man that they're dealing with. You are not a special snowflake. Your emotional circuitry is the same as everyone else's, and she has to know that. And lastly, the fifth one, the willingness to walk away. Well, you know, we have other words for these, being desperate, being needy. Are you a man of choice? Are you or are you a man who operates from a scarcity frame? We all want something of value. A man of choice is okay with losing the girl, with not needing the girl. He'll demonstrate his personality, put it on the line, let it shine. And if that's not enough, he doesn't need her in his life. He wants her, he doesn't need her. A lot of people think this whole thing is about picking up, you know, just walking in there throwing a couple of cute lines. You are never going to attract quality people unless you have an attractive life. When we talk about how to change your personality, we talk about it in terms of the way of being. What does it take to be an attractive individual 24/7? Not when the club lights go on, not when the music starts, but to be this. We're about exploring our humanity, wherever that may take us. There's so many facets to being a man, to being a human. We constantly come up with new ideas, theories.
