Young Hollywood is here hanging out with Bace. Look how pretty she looks. Congrats on becoming the face of this new line at Shiseido. How awesome. Are you so excited?
Oh my gosh. Yeah, it's it's awesome. I'm really excited.
I love that blue eyeshadow on you and all the videos. I mean, that's pretty cool.
Yeah, it was fun watching them put it on me too. This is like a new color that I've had never. And I heard blue looks good on brown eyes too. And it did on you.
Well, thank you. What's your favorite product in this line?
Probably the Kajal Ink liner just because that's just what I'm so familiar with and it's also really good for, I mean, I'm not like a makeupsavant. I'm not that great at applying it and so it's it's so easy and you can do so many different looks and kind of whatever mood you're in, you could smudge it out, you can make it really uh graphic and I'm a very moody girl, so it works for me.
When you do your own makeup, what's like your go-to look?
Well, when I'm not um like performing or I just love to clean it off.
Don't you? I like I don't really wear much makeup during, you know, like on my day-to-day, but I'm definitely really into moisturizing my skin. I've become quite obsessed this last year for some reason. Just um oil and moisturizer and stuff like that. Me too. I rub this like retinol oil at night and I'm just so into moisturizing. Is it something as we get older, it's like we have to moisturize now. So, you're performing tonight. Are you nervous? Do you still get nervous? I mean, you perform all the time.
Yeah, I always get nervous. There was one show that I've done. I think I was just so uh drained and jet-lagged that I didn't get nervous and it was like I felt numb and I didn't like it at all. I'm actually quite nervous tonight just because I haven't performed in like a year. I've been writing my next album. But no, no better event to come out for than Shiseido, so I'm really happy.
How's the next album coming along? Are you excited about the new album?
Very excited. I have about 45 songs I've written for it so far.
Just 45.
So, um Yeah, it's it's it's good. It's just where I'm at. So,
You've been writing songs since you were 15, is that right? That's incredible. And then I didn't know that you also went to USC and studied psychology. Does that help you to write better lyrics knowing that you, I mean, because you wrote your thesis on the children of divorced parents. Is having that background to help you write more thoughtful lyrics?
No. No. I really Well, I think they my my lyrics and my interest in psychology stems from the same part of me. It's just like uh I'm just I've always been fascinated with human relationships and how they evolve and different dynamics and I'm very sensitive and I can feel people's energies and I feel like it's something that I've always been really into is just kind of understanding why certain things work and don't work and even, you know, adolescent development was like my favorite class just learning how the brain develops and yeah.
How do I seem to you right now? Do I just seem like a nervous individual?
You seem a little nervous.
A little nervous. Thank you therapist Banks. Okay, quick game before I let you go. Um it's just a fun like which kind of makeup do you like better? Okay. Matt or gloss?
Matt.
Oh. I know, it's tough. It's tough. I think I'm going to say gloss. Gloss. Okay. Liquid liner or pencil?
Liquid.
You got to say liquid, right? Yeah. Okay, pale or spray tan? I mean, obviously, you're not going to like pale.
I'm the pale girl like I'm translucent. So pale.
Pale is beautiful. Yeah. Okay, false eyelash like the strip or extensions?
Neither.
Neither. She's so cool. All right. Okay, the last one. Red or nude? For lips.
I'm wearing nude tonight, but I'm going to say red.
Red. Feisty. Love it.
