What's going on guys? Welcome into studio today. We're hanging out with Ashley Benson. Hello. Great to see you.
Thank you.
We've seen you on the carpet, but not in studio. So it's great to have some like one-on-one time with you and just hang.
Yeah, I'm excited.
Well, first we're going to play a little game. Okay. It's called the game of firsts. Okay. Are you ready?
Yes.
Okay. All right, so what was the first time you remember being recognized in public?
Everyone thought that I was Taylor Momsen for the longest time. So I would get recognized all the time and I'd literally be like, no, it's not me. They're like, it's fine, we know it's you. I'm like, I'm not. I swear, I'm not Taylor Momsen. I wish I was on Gossip Girl, but like I was getting noticed when she was on Gossip Girl, which is so funny.
How about your first embarrassing audition story?
When I was younger, I'm a huge fan of Mary-Kate and Ashley. I thought that they were the best actors ever and at like 12 or 13, I would audition and I would just do every line how I'd see them or think that they would do it in like Holiday in the Sun or Passport to Paris. I would literally have even the way they talked or spoke, the way they said words, I would do it in my auditions and
You're like, I've watched this a million times. I know how
I'm studying from the best actors, which is what I really I they were like everything to me. Um, and I got told multiple times like, what are you doing? Why are you talking like that? I'm like, oh, well, that's how you act, right?
And what about the first job you ever had?
I was actually um an extra in a Disneyland commercial, which was amazing. I spent the entire day riding rides and like just going on roller coasters and being in the background. Oh, cool. No, it was amazing. Like even now, that would be so much fun. I would love to do that. Every day. I love Disneyland.
Well, summer's here. It's extremely hot. Uh what's your like dream summer day? Whether it's a hot day, nice day, whatever. If you could do anything, what would you do?
I think just stay at home. Yeah. With my dogs, um, be at the pool, have friends over and just kind of chill. I hate being hot. Like, I sweat so much. It's gross. And it's been so hot recently. It's so hot. And like in New York, too, it's so humid. So, the second that you're walking outside, you're just dripping sweat. So, all I want to do is stay inside with an air conditioning. Right. Like full blast, shivering. Um, because it's just too hot. But, I guess yeah, just staying at home, hanging with friends. All the fun stuff. Yeah.
Well, and speaking of New York, you were in New York earlier this summer for filming. Yeah. How was that?
Um, it was great. I did a movie called Her Smell. This guy Alex Ross Perry directed it. Elizabeth Moss is starring in it. Cara Delevigne, Amber Heard, Agness Dane. So fun. Yeah, it was an amazing, amazing cast. I mean, it was mostly all female, which was really great. And then, um, two males. But
That's nice.
It was incredible. I had to learn the guitar. We played, you know, 90s rock stars, which was really fun.
That's so cool. Yeah. What a fun role to play.
Yeah. And I I'm guessing is it very different filming in New York than it is in LA?
Yeah, because I mean, we're not really in a studio like SO. We're always at Warner Brothers. And so kind of, you know, having the ability to film all over New York is kind of dreamy. And it's fun. And um, we filmed at the Gramercy Theater, which was amazing. We had concert scenes in there. It is, it's different. Um, I like both, though.
Well, you always look so great and so put together. Tell me a little bit about your summer beauty routine.
Summer beauty routine. Well, because it's so hot, and especially if I'm going to be in New York, I take about like three showers a day. Like no joke, because I'm just sweating so much. I take a lot of showers. Um, yeah, so showers are like a must. Yeah. Um, and I'm using this new product from Olay. It's a foaming whip body wash.
Ooh.
It is so nice. It's like, it looks like shaving cream when it comes out. It's like smooth and silky and foamy. Um, which I'm weirdly obsessed with. But it feels good. It makes me moisturized. It's like shaving cream, but then it foams and it's like super. I smell it. It's so nice. So
It is actually very fun to just This one sounds nice to strawberry mint, and like this one.
Shea butter, which is my favorite. It's just so refreshing. I always start with that. Shower. And then I moisturize a ton. I put like a ton of coconut oil on um all over my body. Sunscreen, which I'm horrible at doing, but now, you know, being in the sun, I get sunburned and all that.
Well, thank you so much for sharing that secret with us. Now I need to run out and and get some of that for my shower.
You can take all of these. I'll just send you a bunch. I'm like, I have a bunch.
Okay. We have lots of fun to hang out. Well, thanks so much for chatting with us. We hope you have a great rest of the summer and we'll definitely see you soon.
Come back and hope so. This was amazing. I love coming in here. It's very fun.
