"Go Pop Bang" with Rye Rye in Miami

Welcome to Young Hollywood. What's up guys? Leslie Robbins here. Young Hollywood is taking over Miami Beach. We are at the Eden Rock Hotel celebrating the launch of the L Spa and kicking off the festivities is hip hop star Ry Ry.

You don't want to do the fuss, getting sick of the no pain. All the lies and the trust games, guessing don't make a difference. And I'm getting fed up so listen up.

We're here with Ry Ry. Now you're hitting the stage here at the Eden Rock, but you've done South by Southwest, you've done Coachella. What's it like hitting those main stages?

Um, it's fun. Once I get on stage, I'm like a whole new person like I just enjoy it so much. What's up, what's up? What's up? Okay, what's up? It's your girl Ry Ry.

Now let's talk about you on stage, your videos, you on stage, you're like a little dancer up there.

It's like a Baltimore thing, you know, I've been dancing since I was younger. So as a um young child, I always wanted to be a dancer. So now that I get the opportunity to make music, it's only right to just be both of them together.

All right, we're going to talk about Go Pop Bang. How did you come up with that title?

Um, we were in the studio and I had recorded bang one of the songs on our album and I just was like when I say Go Pop Bang, like I just said those lyrics and um MYA just as we was doing the song, they were the words that stood out to her. She's like, Ry Ry needs an album name that's very like that goes for it, like describes her and it's just like action words.

You mentioned MYA, I have to ask, tell me about your friendship, your relationship with her. I mean how awesome is that?

Um, it's very great because she taught me all that I know now and you know when I first came into the industry, I didn't know anything. I was brand new and um she took me under her wing and she took me on tour with her. And it it basically made me comfortable in where I am today.

All right, you gotta show me a dance move. You're like the princess of dance. Okay. We're busy dancing. I know. All right, tell me, what kind of fan comes to your shows?

Um the ones that's not afraid to be themselves. You know, cuz a lot of people um when they're like out dancing, some people won't dance, they're very up tight because they're like if I can't dance, I'm not going to dance. But it's like the people that just don't care, like they're going to dance no matter how they look, they're just going to be themselves. It's sort of like people that's like me, when I hear bass, like I'll just blink out, I'm just like in the mood. I just don't care about nothing.

So we have the album, what's next for you?

Um I might be starting the Katie Price tour on the 15th performing "Never Will Be Mine" with Robin. And I'm just preparing for my album to come out. And then I'll be doing like tours and stuff as well. But yeah, my album, like it's going to come out. What's up? This is your girl Ry Ry straight from Baltimore and you're watching Young Hollywood.
