Welcome to YoungHollywood. com. Hey everyone, it's Michelle Marie here with Young Hollywood. I am here inside the El Faro event hosted by Molly Sims. We're going to sit down with her and Sanaa Lathan. Now, tonight is a great night. Tell me about the turn out.

The turn out's been incredible. We have a great silent auction, we have great music, we have great people. We take care of 110, between 110 to 120 orphans in Tijuana, Mexico. We literally feed them, clothe them, educate them, and whatever you do, whatever you give, whether it be time or money, goes straight into their mouths.

And the great thing is that every year you have a great turnout and so many people support it.

He's such, I mean, Microsoft, Sean Sandford, Jennifer Aniston, we have such great people.

I know that you grew up in Kentucky. What are some memories that you can tell us about, you know, your childhood memories?

It's interesting because I was home recently on July 4th and I was, I went to my grandmother, who's no longer alive. I went to her farm, you know, we had acres and oh, such a beautiful they did tobacco and corn and wheat and the whole thing and, but what was so interesting is that you, we thought that the big pond was so far away, right? But it wasn't. You know, that's the difference in being young and being like, you're so wide-eyed and the smells and the the heat and the humidity and it just it reminded me and the the mosquitoes and the fireflies and, you know, catching the bugs in the glass jars and It was such a good feeling.

Obviously, you were a tomboy.

Yes, I grew up with a great brother named Todd.

Oh my God, I love it. So in tank tops and shorts and dog ears and

So, no Barbies, you know, you played with the the cars. I'm not a big Barbie girl. I wasn't. We were doing GI Joes and the stretch man and.

That's funny. So. Are there any projects or anything that we can see you in very soon? That you're working on right now?

Any jewelry line called Grace by Molly Sims. We've had an incredible response. And um, I have a ring on actually from it.

Very cool. I like that.

I actually got to wear it to my own event.

So, you've hosted, you've acted, you modeled. Out of everything, what do you love the most?

You know, I really love acting, but I also love creating. It's been great to have, to be in a process where you're beginning, middle, and end.

What drew you to the United States?

I mean, you know, it's kinda crazy that we still have people that are hungry in the world. It's it's unbelievable to me. And I'm down to support any charity that's gonna put food in hungry children's mouths. I mean, how can you not support, you know?

What was your big dream when you were a child? Did you have a specific thing that you really wanted to become?

You know, I kinda knew that I wanted to be an actress early on. My mother was in the original Wiz on Broadway. The Wizard of Oz on Broadway. And I was like five years old and I would after the show was all over and the theater was empty, I would walk out onto the stage and stand like stand on the stage and pretend to kind of, you know, you know, like I had a full audience and so I guess even at five years old I knew I was gonna be doing something.

Do you ever pinch yourself and say, oh my God, like, is this really me? Am I really living this life? Do you ever have that moment?

Every day. I just feel like I'm always shocking people come up to me on the street and they know me. Like, I just forget. It's weird and I just, you know, I'm so thankful that I can do something that, you know, I love and and that, you know, it it it entertains people and may give somebody like a moment of release from whatever they're going through, you know.

We were talking last time and you were working with Diddy on um, great, yes, Raising in the Sun. How was Sean Diddy, Sean Puffy, whatever you wanna call him. How, what was it like working with him?

He is a quick study. He is literally, I understood doing the play with him on Broadway, why he is so successful at what he does.

And you're in theater again, you have another project.

Well, I have a couple projects. I have The Cleveland Show which is a is a spin-off of Family Guy. It's the same writers and it is a black family and it is hysterical. And I play Donna, the wife of Cleveland. It's the best job in the world and I laugh my butt off every week.
