Welcome to Young Hollywood. What's up guys? Leslie Robbins here for Young Hollywood and we are celebrating with the cast and crew of Extreme Makeover Home Edition. So wait, your name is Dijon, like the mustard.

Dijon, like the mustard. I've heard that probably a thousand times in one day.

How'd you get the name Dijon?

My mom actually heard somebody was going to Dijon, France. And then like was pregnant with me and I was like due the next day and she was like, that's his name, Dijon, and it kind of stuck.

Now, if you could change anything about the place you live now, what would it be?

I would want it to uh, be large enough that I could have people come live with me, if they needed to, um, and not invade everyone's space. I'm a big family person and I love my friends and they're always over and they're always staying. I wish everyone had like a designed room for themself, like, you like Power Rangers and you like Spiderman, and you like dancing. Um, I think that would be pretty cool.

Yeah, I know. Actually, it's getting crazy. I still feel like it's very surreal.

Of all of the Extreme Makeover Home Edition segments, which one struck your heart the deepest?

Um, the Marshall Spires family this season in Idaho. Jane was a mother of eight plus a dog, um, husband left her. Her house burned down. She had breast cancer, like the works. You name it. And when you meet this woman, if if if Jane was in the room tonight, you would think that she was the most wealthy person in this room, because she has that aura of happiness, and she's just absolutely incredible.

Now, I'm asking people because they redo homes, right? If you could do anything to your home, what would it be?

Oh my gosh, redo the kitchen.

You've been part of the show since the beginning.

Oh, I know. We're going into our ninth season. I'm 172 years old in reality years. I mean, it's over. So the emotions are as real as they look. Yes. That's why I'm there. I'm the storyteller. I'm uh, you know, the family meets the audience. I'm there to really dive in and tell their story.

All of those seasons, all those years, what family touched your heart the most?

Each family kind of touches us differently. And a lot of the designers are in touch with different families.

So how has your life changed since the start of the show?

I think when we started, a lot of TV shows, if they were reality, they were about voting people off the island or stabbing each other in the back. And all of a sudden we have this feel good reality and we didn't know if it would make it. And I love the fact that it has made it and that we get to make a difference in other people's lives.
