Young Hollywood

Welcome to Young Hollywood. com. We're here at the ultra exclusive trunk show of the Little Joe by Gail Elliot collection with designer Gail Elliott.

Gail Elliott

It's very kind of girly. It does have a little bit of an edge to it. The prints um, I do myself. This is actually one of Cindy's favorites.

Cindy Crawford

Yeah, I like that. Okay. I like that. That's the one from the book.

Young Hollywood

All right, so we're here with Gail Elliott and Cindy Crawford. I remember meeting Gail a lot at shows and she'd been modeling for just a few years, maybe two years before me. What advice did you give to Cindy when she started off?

Gail Elliott

Um, don't be there at 5:00 in the morning when they ask you to be for a 10:00 show. Because I was the I was the kind that actually showed up on time and I actually still am the type that shows up on time.

Cindy Crawford

That's good.

Gail Elliott

Yeah, except for all the other models are like, don't do that. That makes us look bad. You have to be at least an hour late.

Young Hollywood

What changes have you seen also in the modeling industry?

Gail Elliott

Nowadays all of the really great campaigns are being done by actresses. There's less opportunity for models to really make themselves well known and to have name recognition. They can't get those things that we needed to to put us to the next level. The cosmetic contracts, the Vogue covers. They're not going to models. It's much harder for young models to actually kind of make it to that super you know, super status.

Young Hollywood

What is it about this line in particular that you really love about it?

Cindy Crawford

My life mostly now is jeans and I live in Malibu and I have kids. For those days that you don't quite want to be in a t-shirt, but you want that comfort where I could go to lunch. I could go to a meeting. It's like I for me, it's like that great balance. The pieces that I gravitate to are the ones that work in my life, which are I always say it's it's better than a t-shirt.

Young Hollywood

See, look, we can make your we can make ourselves your height. tall. What do you think?
