Meagan Good and Whitney Houston were planning biopic
Meagan Good was in talks with Whitney Houston to star in a biopic about the I Will Always Love You singer before her death on 11 February (12).
The Californication star reveals she was in discussions to play Houston in a movie version of her life, and they even had a meeting set up this month (Feb12) to chat about the project.
Speaking about Houston at a party on Monday (20Feb12), Good told E! Online, "We were fairly in the beginning stages. We were supposed to meet today actually."
Good admits she and Houston had agreed that the R&B icon's voice should be used in the movie's performance scenes.
She explains, "I don't think we've ever had a singer in history that I remember that could sing like her. Plus, when people see someone's life story they want to hear that person's voice because they connect with it, in their spirit and their soul. So you would have to use her voice."
The 30 year old teared up as she remembered the star in the present tense, adding, "For anybody spending time around Whitney, she's so much fun. She's got just like a sassy attitude and is very funny and funky. She's definitely a fun person to be around."
