Cue the music, because the GRAMMYs are just around the corner. The Recording Academy is set to present a handful of awards for amazing successes in the music industry this Sunday after the past two ceremonies were postponed due to COVID-19, so we can’t wait to see what’s in store for this year. We’re going to break down the biggest things you need to know about music’s biggest night, so take notes!

WHEN AND WHERE

The 65th GRAMMY Awards will take place Sunday, February 5th, and will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ at 4pm PT. The show will be broadcast live from the Crypto.com Area in Los Angeles. 

THE RECORDING ACADEMY

We all know how the GRAMMYs go -- the winners always thank the Academy, but who are they? Membership is a requirement to be a part of the organization. They look for the best of the best to bring diversity to the community.

THE HOST

Comedian and former television host of "The Daily Show", Trevor Noah, will be hosting the show. He has hosted the last two shows and will return for the third time. Seems like Trevor Noah and the GRAMMYs go together like peanut butter & jelly, or Beyoncé and Jay-Z!

THE NOMINEES

Some artists are making their own history by being nominated for their second time. Those include Latto, Billie Eilish, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and more! This will be Kendrick Lamar’s 8th time, and Adele and Brandi Carlile’s seventh time. Meanwhile, Queen Bey keeps her throne with the most nominations! Beyoncé is nominated for 9 GRAMMYs including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and 6 more. She’s now tied with her husband, Jay-Z, for the most nominated artist in GRAMMYs history. Go, Queen!

THE PERFORMERS

Music’s biggest night got a whole lot bigger! The live performances are always the most-anticipated highlight of any GRAMMYs ceremony, and this year we’ll get to see Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, Mary J Blige, Brandi Carlile, Luke Combs, Steve Lacy, Lizzo, Kim Petras, and Sam Smith. We love the line up!
