Part 1 of the finale was interviews with the cast looking back on the experience of creating the show, which was very touching. As Alba said, telenovellas always have a happy ending and usually end with a wedding. Petra reunites with her love JR, Xiomara and Rogelio move to New York so Ro can live his dream, Alba and Jorge continue to be a happily married couple, and Jane and Rafael get their happily ever after. We got one final front porch cry scene and an epic flashback sequence. And after all these years, we learned the narrator telling us this story is actually Mateo! In the end, the finale was a perfect end to a great show.
