Serena Williams Makes a Fierce Comeback!
Serena Williams came back better than ever at this year’s French Open. Last year, the tennis star was banned from wearing a bodysuit at the annual sporting event. The ban came after she showed up to win in this black & red custom suit designed by Nike.
Well, she was not taking that backlash this year! For the 2019 French Open, the athlete made another fashion statement, but hopefully this one will not be banned. The ensemble was designed by Virgil Abloh for the Nike x Off-White collaboration. The pieces are all part of “The “Queen Collection”, including this fierce set that Williams wore. The black & white short skirt and crop top had the words “Champion”, “Mother”, “Queen”, and “Goddess” written across the top and bottoms in French. Take a look at her boss outfit.
This is the epitome of a comeback, and if there’s anyone to stand up for herself, it’s Serena Williams. She showed that she can play well no matter what clothes she is wearing. Serena exemplified what it means to be a strong, independent woman in this outfit and that is why we love her. She’s an absolute girl boss!
