There’s nothing better than coming home after a cold winter day and biting into a warm cookie fresh from the oven. Baking season is finally here, so it's time to break out your cookie cutters and mixers. But instead of following the recipe on the back of the chocolate chip bag or relying on the store-bought dough, why not get experimental by following along with your fave celeb's special cookie recipe? Here are the best celebrity cookies you need to try out!

 

1. Kourtney Kardashian's Gingersnap Cookies

According to People Magazine, Kourtney and her kids make these cookies “every year”. The best part? They are gluten- and dairy-free! That means nearly everyone can enjoy this sweet treat; no more missing out due to dietary restrictions! This recipe makes 36-48 cookies, making them great for parties and family gatherings. With sugar, spice, and everything nice, these cookies are sure to be a winner!

 

1. Grab a hand mixer and combine 1 cup of room temperature vegan butter, ½ cup of organic white sugar, and ½ cup of organic light brown sugar in a large bowl until you get a smooth and fluffy texture.

2. Mix in ⅓ cup of organic gluten-free molasses and 1 lightly beaten egg until combined.

3. Grab a separate bowl for mixing the dry ingredients, which are as follows: 2 ¼ cups of gluten-free all-purpose flour, 1 ½ teaspoons of organic baking soda, ½ teaspoon of baking powder, 2 teaspoons of organic ground ginger, ½ teaspoon of organic ground clove, ½ teaspoon of organic ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon of organic ground cardamom, ½ teaspoon of ground white pepper, ½ teaspoon of organic salt, and 1 cup of organic ginger nibs. Whisk until combined.

4. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.

5. Separate the dough into 1 inch balls and roll them in organic white sugar before placing them 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.

6. Bake for 7-9 minutes until golden brown at 350 degrees.

 

 

 

2. Taylor Swift's Chai Sugar Cookies

Taylor Swift’s chai sugar cookie recipe has quickly become a staple of holiday baking. Its sweet and cinnamony flavor has warmed the hearts of many, fans and bakers alike. And who can forget about the eggnog glaze that coats the top? You could say these cookies have a good "reputation". This recipe makes about 24 cookies -- just enough for you and a friend to gorge on, if you can find the strength to share. This plate of cookies is bound to be gone by the end of the night!

 

1. In a large bowl, beat ½ cup of unsalted room temperature butter using a mixer until fluffy.

2. To the same bowl, gradually beat in at medium speed ½ cup of vegetable oil, ½ cup of granulated sugar, ½ cup of powdered sugar, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, and 1 large egg one at a time until combined.

3. Cut open a chai tea packet and add it to the mixture.

4. Set the mixer on low speed and stir in 2 cups of all-purpose flour, ¾ teaspoon of baking soda, and ½ teaspoon of salt until combined.

5. Refrigerate the dough for 1 hour.

6. When the time is up, separate the dough into 1 tablespoon-sized chunks and flatten them with your palm until they are ¼ inch thick.

7. Place the cookies onto a greased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

8. Taylor says the eggnog frosting is optional, but we definitely recommend trying it! To begin, combine 1 cup of powdered sugar with ¼ teaspoon of ground nutmeg, ¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 3 tablespoons of eggnog.

9. When mixed, it should resemble a glaze. Add one spoonful to the top of each cookie.

10. As a finishing touch, Taylor recommends sprinkling some cinnamon over the cookies.


 

 

Joanna Gaines's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Joanna Gaines is an expert on everything home-related, and that doesn’t exclude the kitchen! 1. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together 2 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and ½ teaspoon of salt. Set aside.

2. Grab a large bowl and combine 8 tablespoons of room temperature unsalted butter with 2 cups of packed brown sugar using a mixer until light and fluffy.

3. Beat in 2 large eggs and 1 ½ teaspoons of vanilla extract until blended.

4. On medium speed, slowly mix in the dry ingredients you set aside earlier until the batter becomes doughy.

5. On high speed, mix in 1 ½ cups of semisweet chocolate chips.

6. Separate the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

7. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-11 minutes.
