Sufjan Stevens – “Love Yourself”

When we hear there is new Sufjan Stevens music, we know it’s going to be a great day. With the start of Pride Month (which began June 1), Stevens released two new singles. “Love Yourself” was first recorded as a demo by the singer in 1996 about acceptance and being okay with who you are. Sufjan Stevens has an angelic voice, so if you’ve never heard one of his songs, this is a great place to start. The other song he released this week is called “With My Whole Heart”, a really positive love song, and if you know Sufjan Stevens, you would know he isn’t known for creating very positive songs.
