ICYMI: Kyle Richards Returning To Her Childhood Role For 'Halloween' Sequel!

Written by Lori Bashian. Published: September 08 2019

In 1978, Michael Myers (Nick Castle) made his first appearance on the silver screen and terrified all of America. We watched as Myers terrorized the teenaged Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and the unfortunate children she just happened to be babysitting.

It’s been 41 years since that fateful night, and it seems the band is finally getting back together. News broke earlier this week that "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast member, Kyle Richards, will reprise her role as Lindsey Wallace for the next Halloween sequel!

Kyle originally played the role at 9 years old and has not since been back to participate in any of the sequels, prequels, and remakes. Curits and Castle previously returned to the franchise to reprise their characters in the 2018 remake, in which Laurie Strode feared the killer's impending release from the asylum and her quest to protect her daughter and granddaughter from him.

This new movie, called Halloween Kills, will be a direct sequel to the 2018 film, focusing mainly on the first film and continuing that storyline. The teaser trailer announced 2 new Halloween movies, which will be released a year apart, and will dive deeper and continue the story between these two adversaries.

For those who only know Kyle as a Real Housewife, or as Paris Hilton's aunt, she actually had a pretty thriving career as a child actress in the late-'70s and early-'80s. In addition to Halloween, Kyle had roles in Disney's Escape to Witch Mountain, "Little House on the Prairie", and even appeared alongside the legendary Bette Davis in The Watcher In The Woods. Halloween was actually her fourth big screen feature.

Halloween Kills is set to be released on October 15, 2020, and Halloween Ends is expected to be released on October 15, 2021. Halloween Kills will also star Anthony Michael Hall, who will take over the role of Tommy from Brian Andrews, Judy Greer as Karen, Andi Matichak as Allyson, Charles Cyphers as Leigh Brackett, and James Jude Courtney as The Shape.
