Written by Julia Hutchens. Published: June 30 2019

Crazy Rich Asians star Constance Wu will grace the spotlight once again in Universal’s heartwarming adaptation of Rachel Khong’s Goodbye, Vitamin, and we can’t wait!

Based on Khong’s 2017 award-winning debut novel, the upcoming film of the same name will empathize with people who have experience with Alzheimer’s, whether they are the caretaker or the patient. With Wu’s talent and Khong’s ability to squeeze out the sweetness in any situation, Goodbye, Vitamin is sure to warm our hearts and educate our minds about the disease.

The plot will follow Wu’s character, Ruth Young, as she returns home to assist her father, who had lost his job as a renowned history professor after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. In an attempt to help her father retain his passion, Ruth teams up with an old student of his and creates a fake class so that he is able to continue teaching.

Dylan Clark is set to produce for his Universal-based Dylan Clark Productions, with Wu set to executive produce. Jennifer Yes McDevitt will adapt the screenplay.

Wu will next be seen in STX’s crime drama Hustlers, following a group of strip club employees who band together to turn the tables on their wealthy clientele. Cardi B, Lili Reinhart, and Jennifer Lopez will also be starring in the drama. Hustlers will premiere in theaters on Septempter 13.
