Meet The New Faces of the "Gossip Girl" Reboot!

Written by Sarrah Wolfe. Published: March 23 2020

Last year, HBO announced that they would be revamping the hit CW series, "Gossip Girl", and now we finally have some word about the lead cast of A-Listers of the Upper East Side!

The cast is full of up-and-coming stars who are sure to cause a stir once the new series premieres. Although only one of the character names has been revealed, we’re already certain that this reboot is going to be amazing.

Here’s a quick run-down of each of the new stars to get you prepped for the show!

Emily Alyn Lind was the first reveal of the series and is set to play Audrey, who has been in a long-term relationship but is beginning to question her other options.

Lind is known mostly for her role as Amanda in "Revenge" but also has a lot of other roles in her back pocket. Most recently, she played Snakebite Andi in Doctor Sleep.

If we had to guess, we’d bet Lind’s character is an heir to the Constance Billard social throne...

We were SO excited to hear about this casting because Tavi Gevinson is a perfect human being.

She was the founder & editor of the online teenage magazine, Rookie, which is no longer in publication, but made a huge stir in its lifetime. Gevinson was only 12 when she created Rookie and soon after was being invited to New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week.

Although her acting repertoire is sparse, we’re certain that her knowledge of fashion and amazing style will help her fit in perfectly with the Upper East Side.

Thomas Doherty

Thomas Doherty made a name for himself as Captain Hook's son in Disney Channel's Descendants movies as well as the Disney+ TV series "The Lodge". You may have seen him more recently on Hulu’s "High Fidelity" as the dreamy indie boy-band singer, Liam.

He definitely gives off some Chuck Bass vibes, but let’s face it, no one could even come close to Chuck. Regardless, we’re still super excited to see what Doherty’s character brings to the show!

Zion Moreno

To be honest, we really don’t know that much about the Mexican-American actress Zion Moreno, but we’re excited to find out more!

What we do know is that Moreno was recently in the music video for “Fleur” by Melanie Martinez, and based off of her instagram, she definitely seems like a sweetheart with some major Jenny Humphrey qualities.

Adam Chanler-Berat

Adam Chanler-Berat's background is mostly in theatre, having been in many Broadway shows like Next to Normal, Peter and the Starcatcher, and Saint Joan.

He began to do TV and film roles in 2006 with an episode of "Law and Order" and later starred alongside Vince Vaughn in Delivery Man.

We really don’t have any guesses about what his character might be like, so you’ll just have to tune in when the show premieres!

Aside from the confirmed leads mentioned above, some other faces you can expect to see include Whitney Peak (Molly’s Game), Eli Brown ("Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists"), Johnathan Fernandez ("Lethal Weapon"), and Jason Gotay ("Peter Pan Live!"). With a line-up like this, we are so so excited for the next generation of Gossip Girl!
