Everything We Know About Marvel's Phase 4 Slate of TV Shows (So Far)!

Written by Kyla Killackey. Published: March 04 2020

2020 is well underway, which means Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is upon us, and this time the super studio is taking over television.

So far, they’ve kept most of the details under wraps, but we’re slowly starting to find out more about what’s in store for the Marvel TV shows coming to air across 2020 and 2021.

We caught a first glimpse at some of the footage in a teaser trailer released during the Super Bowl and now we’re breaking down everything we know as we get closer to these monumental releases!

"The Falcon and Winter Soldier"

The first new Marvel show to hit screens will be "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier", which follows Bucky Barnes, AKA The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), and Sam Wilson, AKA The Falcon AKA the new Captain America (Anthony Mackie), in a timeline that intermingles with the movies.

We don’t know the exact release date outside of Fall 2020, but we do know that our heroes will be joined by some familiar faces, including villain Baron Zemo (Daniel Bruhl) and, more enjoyably, Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp).

As we should all know by now, Sam was handed the mantle of Captain America at the end of Avengers: Endgame, now he and Bucky will be embarking on a new adventure that takes them across the world!

"WandaVision"

Now this one sounds like something we’ve never seen before… especially since, the last time we checked, Wanda and Vision were both dead.

The premise isn’t completely clear, but from the looks of the trailer, Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) is pulling out all the stops to keep Vision (Paul Bettany) by her side. From pregnant to married to 1950s sitcom, how long can the domestic bliss really last for these two?

Olsen and Bettany are both returning to lead the series along with Teyonah Parris, who plays a grown-up version of Captain Marvel’s Monica Rambeau (who becomes Photon later in the comics).

Again, we only have a general premiere date of Fall 2020, but we’ll keep you updated!

"Loki"

Loki is one of the most famous (and infamous) Avengers to be making the move to the small screen, and in true God of Mischief fashion, he’s changing all the rules.

After being executed in Infinity War and then having an earlier version of himself reincarnated in Endgame, Loki’s timeline is all over the map.

Tom Hiddleston is reprising his role in a show that will see Loki “popping up throughout human history as an unlikely influencer on historical events.” Kevin Feige seemed to confirm this while also saying that the show would take place after the events of Endgame, so clearly time travel has changed everything.

Loki will arrive in Spring 2021.

"Hawkeye"

"Hawkeye" is the last of this batch of Marvel TV shows, hitting screens in Fall 2021.

This series will follow Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) as he trains Kate Bishop to take over the Hawkeye alter ago. Honestly, we that’s about all we know.

Somehow even when it seems Marvel can’t get any bigger, they outdo themselves once again. We’ll keep you updated as we find out more on Phase 4 of the MCU, but until then, you can find re-watching all 50 hours of Marvel movies on Disney+!
