A new series of shorts on Disney+ called "I Am Groot" gives the youngest member of the Guardians of the Galaxy the opportunity to step into the spotlight. "I Am Groot" is a collection of 5 short films clocking in at about 5 minutes each, in which the most adorable of the Guardians is allowed to explore the galaxy on his own. In each of the shorts, Baby Groot is developing throughout the galaxy as he interacts with various strange and unique characters, leading to him getting into mischief. Groot demonstrates that, when it comes to mischievous tree creatures, there is no such thing as too much fun!

You're probably asking yourself, "How can a walking and talking stick cause so much chaos?" The answer is simple. Whatever Baby Groot lacks in size, he makes up for it with his big attitude and curious mind.

With that being said, let's look at his top 5 funniest moments throughout the short series!

1. Groot’s First Steps

In the first episode, "Groot's First Steps", Baby Groot's pot breaks as he is in the middle of eating cheeseballs because he is getting too large for it. Robots then take him off the counter and replace him with a larger tree. Groot loses his calm and throws a Yaro Root at the tree, but it ricochets and knocks him off the table. When he returns to the table, he tries to trap the tree in his branches, but they slide and entangle him instead. Groot tries to get away by ripping off a branch, but it oozes green slime all over him. Both Groot and the tree crash to the ground after Groot fires his slingshot into the tree. When Groot's pot cracks, he rises and discovers he can walk. Even as he tries, he can't get his feet to move. When he finally succeeds, Groot races to the tree to gloat after achieving his goal. He then proceeds to eat cheeseballs with the tree to celebrate.

Not every day do you see two trees munching on cheeseballs, so the sight is even more amusing.

2. The Little Guy

In the second episode, "Little Guy", Baby Groot is building a small house for himself when a bird comes and wants to nest there. Almost giving up, Baby Groot ends up beside a rock, and when he lifts it, he finds a small civilization of tiny aliens. To introduce himself, Baby Groot picks up a rock and blows on the little creatures. The tiny aliens get weapons and start attacking Baby Groot. He falls to the ground and farts loudly, which causes a leaf to drop out of his body. The small group of aliens is thrilled when they lay eyes on the leaf. It turns out that they eat leaves, and one leaf from Groot can feed the whole village!

What a funny and strange thing! Who knew Groot could feed a group of tiny aliens by letting out gas?

3. Groot’s Pursuit

In the third episode, "Groot's Pursuit", Baby Groot is seen aboard the Guardians' ship. He then ventures outside to investigate a peculiar disturbance that has been heard in the Quadrant. In order to see, he puts together a headlamp out of a watch by attaching it to the back of his head. At first, all he can detect is residue left behind by the creature. Baby Groot is taken aback when he sees the liquid-like creature who has assumed his appearance. Baby Groot is enraged by this and ultimately results in a face-off, or, more precisely, a heated dance-off with the creature!

4. Groot Takes A Bath

In the fourth episode, "Groot Takes A Bath", Baby Groot spots a puddle and decorates it with bath bombs, candles, and other assorted items. He notices that the mud is able to sprout leaves, so he proceeds to put on his own fashion show to celebrate. One curious bird, however, is not amused by Baby Groot's fashion presentation and can be heard laughing its head off as the mud finally dries. Baby Groot shows off his destructive skills by skinning the bird and turning it into a scarf.

5. Magnum Opus

In the last episode, "Magnum Opus", Baby Groot wants to paint a picture of himself and the Guardians as a family, and he goes to great lengths to get art supplies in order to make his masterpiece, such as building a bomb to make glitter. Discovering Groot's work, Rocket learns firsthand how untidy and sometimes disastrous the creative process can be, which is funny because, in the end, Groot's family picture of the Guardians of the Galaxy comes out perfect.

We can't wait to see the sorts of mischief Baby Groot gets himself into in the future.
