ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Social House

You know that moment when you’re at a party and all of a sudden a song comes on that you just HAVE to Shazam right then and there? Well, most likely that song is from Social House. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, band members Michael “Mikey” Foster and Charles “Scootie” Anderson have already made a splash in the industry, with only 3 songs that have been currently released. One of those songs being “Magic in the Hamptons” (ft. Lil Yachty), which was released last summer and charted on the ITunes top 100. Personally, I think was the song of the summer. It’s one of those songs you blast when you’re coming home from the beach, all the windows are down, and life is gooooood.

Their new single, “Haunt You”, came out last Friday and it’s already on repeat. The song has a personal connection with both the artists, and they hope to convey that emotion to the fans. When you first listen, it gives a definite “Sunflower” by Post Malone vibe, but with their distinctive and different tone, it gives a whole new sound to the genre. It’s a song that you definitely add to your “In the Feels” playlist.

Mikey and Scootie started off their career in Hollywood writing and producing songs for artists like Jennifer Lopez and Chris Brown. They are also responsible for producing Ariana Grande's mega hits “7 rings” and “thank you, next”, so they are no stranger to connecting with the audience.

Their music already speaks for itself with their unique sound and relaxed vibes, but after signing with Scooter Braun, who is the mastermind behind people like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, they’re sure to be around for a long time.

With their first EP dropping on August 2, we are preparing ourselves for the future bops we are about to have on repeat for the rest of summer. I have no doubt these two artists are sure to be on the charts for many years to come.
