Among every group of friends, there’s a single, very important night. It forges bonds, shows people’s true colors, and reveals weaknesses.
It’s Game Night.
On television, game night episodes are always the most fun (though, on occasion, the most dramatic). Either way, you’ve probably found yourself muttering, “Man, I wish I could be part of that game night” to your very empty living room at some point.
There are some you’d want to avoid – I’m looking right at you, "FRIENDS" – but these seven would definitely be coveted invitations!
1. "Supergirl"
"Supergirl" has pretty well revolutionized the idea of game night. The Danvers sisters’ game night is known to be so intense that, at one point, Lena Luthor makes date night with James all about practicing:
The best part of "Supergirl"’s game night, though, is that it isn’t just on-screen. The show’s cast, along with other CW casts, actually have a real-life game night!
Let’s just take a moment. Yesterday me & @AzieTesfai hosted a @CWBatwoman vs @cw_nancydrew vs @CW_Arrow vs @TheCWSupergirl vs @Motherland vs @cwthe100 vs @sabrinanetflix cast GAME NIGHT. I mean how freaking dope is Vancouver ?

Sadly, the joyful proof of it only exists in the Instagram stories of the stars, but all in favor of starting a petition to live-stream it?!
2. "The Good Place"
If we’re being honest, Pictionary in "The Good Place" was a touch terrifying. But in fairness, they still weren’t in the real Good Place, so we’ll let it slide.
Realistically, playing anything with Eleanor Shellstrop would be a blast, and with Jason involved, there might be actual blasts. Janet would be able to clean up the mess though, so all in all? Win-win.
3. "Gossip Girl"
Yes, it’s been 8 years since we said goodbye to the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite. But remember Assassin?
If you say you’ve never imagined running around the Upper East Side trying to snag Nate Archibald’s photo, well… you’re lying.
With "Gossip Girl" getting a reboot in the near future, could Assassin live again?!
4. "Grey’s Anatomy"
There’s no question of IF game night with the doctors of "Grey’s Anatomy" would be fun. The question would really just be which season of characters would you want to join?
Cristina Yang was real fun on the baseball field.
But Tom Koracick is very smart, though a bit cocky. April Kepner was a stickler for rules, Maggie Pierce is a great clue-giver, and Jackson is a great clue-guesser.
Truly, it’d be a tough choice.
5. "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series"
There is no truer dedication to game night than making up your own game. And that’s exactly what Carlos did in "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series".
Granted, it took several years for him to actually have people to play it with, but better late than never, right?
And who better to play with than a bunch of theater kids? EJ and Ricky fully committed to doing Ryan and Sharpay’s warm-ups, Nini and Gina knew their answers – being part of this game night, you’d never have to worry about someone’s head NOT being in the game.
6. "The Bold Type"
At this point, most fans of "The Bold Type" are clamoring for a musical episode. I’m not excluded from that group, but I’d be just as happy seeing a game night episode.
Between Kat, Jane, and Sutton’s shorthand communication with each other, Jacqueline’s wits, Richard’s sheer Richard-ness, it’d undoubtedly be a memorable night.
7. "On My Block"
Take a second and just imagine Jasmine at game night. Just picture it.
Watching the gang sort through “Make love, marry, kill” was a journey in and of itself. A whole game night? It’d be a whole lot of bluntness, shenanigans, and hilarity. But in true "On My Block" fashion, odds are it would get pretty deep too.
