5 Galentine's Day Cocktails & Mocktails To Share With Your Favorite Girlies!

Valentine’s Day has always been on the short list for my least favorite holiday. I’ve always thought that, if you love someone, you should show them all the time! But it’s 2025, and we’ve got something bigger and better than Valentine’s Day – Galentine’s Day is almost here!
The best way I’ve found to celebrate Galentine’s Day is by having my friends over for a drink and an appetizer to touch base before anybody’s big date night plans, or the day after so we can rehash the Valentine’s Day Drama. The following are my five favorite cocktails (and mocktails!) to have with the gals. All of the following require a cocktail shaker half full of ice, and additional ingredients and tools will be listed.
1. Raspberry Martini
This bright red drink is perfectly festive with a bright punch of flavor. Even though they share a name, the raspberry martini and the traditional martini don’t have much in common. A raspberry martini is a flavored vodka drink rather than the common gin.
Shake together 2 oz vodka, 1 oz raspberry simple syrup*, and 1 oz lemon juice until chilled, then pour. Garnish with a skewer of fresh raspberries and you’re good to go!
(*To make your own raspberry simple syrup, simmer 1/4 cup of raspberries with 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small pan. Strain into a jar and let cool.)
2. Mudslide
I would definitely call this a February 15 kind of drink. The mudslide is a classic boozy dessert, great for curling up on the couch with your friends and recounting a wild night.
Shake together 1 oz vodka, 1 oz of a coffee-flavored liqueur, 1 oz Irish cream liqueur (commonly referred to by the brand name Bailey’s), and 1 oz heavy cream. Pour over ice and enjoy!
3. French 75 Cocktail
This delicious drink always reminds me of the coming Spring and new love along with it. Bubbly with a tart twist, this cocktail is perfect for any celebration.
Shake together 1 oz gin, 1/2 oz lemon juice, and 1/2 oz simple syrup.* Pour into a champagne flute (or whatever glass you have on hand) and top with champagne or your choice of sparkling wine.
(*To make plain simple syrup, simmer together 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water until slightly thick, then pour into a jar.)
4. Cranberry and Orange Mocktail
The first of the two mocktails on this list (both of which can be made alcoholic with an additional 1 oz of vodka) is a Winter favorite of mine, for those of you who are still looking at snow and ice on February 14.
Shake together 2 oz cranberry juice, 2 oz orange juice, 1/2 oz simple syrup, and pour over ice. Top with about half a can of ginger ale and garnish with an orange twist.
5. Pomegranate Mocktail
Last but not least is our bubbly pomegranate mocktail, which I prefer to pair with creamy cheeses like brie and feta to even out the unique flavors of pomegranate.
Shake together 2 oz pomegranate juice, 1/2 oz orange juice, and 1/2 oz simple syrup. Pour over ice and top it off with club soda. I garnish pomegranate drinks with fresh mint to really wake them up.
Whether or not you have a special someone this Valentine’s Day, get together with your gals for a drink and a laugh and celebrate the love you share with your friends!
