Daddy Yankee

Daddy Yankee has been around for quite some time now. He is often known as the “King of Reggaetón”. In 2004, he made his big debut in America with his hit “Gasolina”. You know the song, “Dame más gasolina!” The song was a hit internationally and some might argue that it is the song that gave Reggaetón the clout it deserved. Daddy Yankee also collaborated with Luis Fonsi, a Latin pop singer, on “Despacito”, which made it to the number one spot on Billboard’s Hot 100. This was the first Spanish song to top the charts since 1996!

Daddy Yankee may have made his big debut years ago, but he continues to create music that everyone loves. One of his newest singles, “Con Calma”, is the number one song on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs and is also number 27 on Billboard’s Top 100. The song is upbeat and is literally about how well a woman dances, so if this song doesn’t get you out of your seat, I’m not sure what will.
