Actors Zach Braff, Lena Dunham and Melissa Mccarthy have been named among the top 12 innovators of the year (13).
Editors at film industry blog TheWrap.com have released their inaugural list of Innovators Who Are Changing Hollywood with their unique talent and ideas, and the former Scrubs star was selected for popularising crowd-funding website Kickstarter.com, which he used to raise $3.1 million for a sequel to his indie film Garden State.
Meanwhile, Girls creator Dunham was chosen for paving the way for
other female writers to find success thanks to her award-wining hit
TV comedy, and Bridesmaids funnywoman McCarthy, whose role in
Identity Thief was originally meant for a man, was honored for
shaking up gender stereotypes.
