Zac Efron thanks fans for their support amid rehab rumors

Zac Efron has reached out to his fans online and thanked them for their support amid reports the actor completed a stint in rehab earlier this year (13).

The High School Musical star hit headlines earlier this month (Sep13) when Internet reports suggested he had spent time in a clinic to deal with substance abuse issues.

His representative refused to comment on the claims, and the 25 year old himself has yet to confirm or deny whether the story is true.

However, he has now broken his social networking silence to share a photo of himself looking happy and healthy during a recent trip to Peru, where he trekked to the ancient site of Machu Picchu with his father.

Efron also expressed his gratitude for his devotees' well wishes in a post on his Whosay.com page, writing, "Hey guys! Just returned from an incredible trip to Peru with my dad and wanted to thank you all for your support these past few weeks... means the world to me. Love you guys! - Z".
