Yaya DaCosta moves forward with divorce

Model-turned-actress Yaya Dacosta has filed papers to officially end her marriage to director Joshua Bee Alafia, almost a year after they split.

The former America's Next Top Model contestant, who portrayed the late Whitney Houston in Angela Bassett's TV biopic earlier this year (15), parted ways with her husband in December (14), and now she has moved to make the separation permanent by lodging papers in Manhattan Supreme Court in New York on Thursday (12Nov15), according to the New York Post.

The estranged couple wed in 2012 and has a two-year-old son named Sankara.
