Wiz Khalifa drug charge dropped
Wiz Khalifa has had a drug possession charge dropped after he agreed to appear in a video urging kids to stay in school.
The musician - real name Cameron Thomaz - was stopped by police in Forsyth County, North Carolina after his concert in Winston-Salem last May (12).
He was cited on a marijuana charge after cops allegedly found a
stash of the drug on board his tour bus, but prosecutors in Forsyth
County have now decided to dismiss the charge after he agreed to
carry out community service.
The star will now shoot a video telling teens to focus on their
education, which will be shown to students at Carter G. Woodson
School in Winston-Salem.
Assistant District Attorney Mike Silver says, "He provided a
community service that a lot of people can't provide because of his
status. He's well known. He's a very popular artist."
