Will Smith to make live music comeback
Will Smith is set to take to the stage for his first musical performance in years at the Latin Grammy Awards next month (Nov15).
The Independence Day star, who last released an album in 2005, has made a comeback with Fiesta, his collaboration with Colombian band Bomba Estereo.
Will raps in both English and Spanish for a song, and is scheduled
to perform with the electro group at the awards show in Las Vegas
on 19 November (15).
"Performing at the Latin Grammy Awards is a huge honor for me," he
says, "I'll be surrounded by so many talented artists whose music
has such profound global impact. I can't think of a more perfect
place for Bomba Estereo and I to perform Fiesta Remix for the first
time onstage."
Will recently announced he was back in the studio working on his
own material, telling EW.com, "I'm pretty much poppin' in the
studio everyday and I'm looking for artists to collaborate with...
I've probably recorded 30 songs. I have six or seven that I really
like."
He also revealed he would be teaming up with his former partner DJ
Jazzy Jeff for a tour in the summer (16).
