Vanessa Hudgens surprises fan at prom

Actress Vanessa Hudgens gave a teenage cancer sufferer a prom to remember on Thursday (28Aug14) by making a surprise appearance at his high school dance.

The Spring Breakers star decided to stop by the end-of-year bash, thrown by officials at Los Angeles arts charity The Art of Elysium in conjunction with bosses at the local Kaiser Pediatric Oncology center, after hearing about 17-year-old superfan Cesar's health battle.

An eyewitness tells Eonline.com, "She dressed up, spent most of the night dancing with the kids and took countless photos with fans.

"(Cesar) told me it was the best night of his life."

Hudgens also helped to raise awareness about the art foundation by posting a shot of herself with delighted Cesar on Instagram.com, alongside the caption, "Hung out with @cesarrudyguerrero at his very own prom thanks to the amazing work of @theartofelysium #artheals (sic)".
