Written by . Published: April 09 2015

Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk! hit has tied for the second-longest number one reign in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The tune, which has now spent 14 weeks atop the countdown, joins the likes of I Gotta Feeling by Black Eyed Peas, Mariah Carey's We Belong Together and Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You among the seven tunes which have spent 14 weeks at number one.

Only Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's 1995 collaboration, One Sweet Day, spent more weeks at the top of the Hot 100 - it scored a 16-week run.

Maroon 5's Sugar holds steady at two on the new chart, while Ellie Goulding's Love Me Like You Do returns to the top three at three.

The Weeknd's Earned It (Fifty Shades of Gray) and Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud round out the new top five.
