Irish singer Una Healy kicked off 2013 by raising $40,000 for charity during an appearance on U.K. TV quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

The Saturdays star and her rugby player husband Ben Foden appeared on the New Year's Day (01Jan13) episode, answering a series of general knowledge questions to generate cash for cancer organisations Marie Curie and Niamh's Next Step.

Healy and Foden were delighted with their $80,000 haul, which was split between their chosen charities and a viewer prize pot, and hugged as they answered their final question correctly.

The couple was the joint top earning celebrity pair on the show - Olympic swimmer Ellie Simmonds and actor Michael Ball also won a total of $80,000, while comedian/actor Omid Djalili and explorer Bear Grylls earned $1,600.
