Tyrese Gibson sides with 'brother' Vin Diesel in Fast 8 dispute
Tyrese Gibson has waded into the feud between his Fast & Furious castmates Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel by making it clear he's a big fan of the latter.
Sparks flew earlier this week (beg08Aug16) when Johnson, aka The Rock, appeared to be taking aim at a Fast 8 co-star in a social media post for his behaviour on set.
He did not name names, but insiders felt sure he was targeting
Diesel in his scathing post.
Vin, who is one of the new film's producers, appeared to be
preparing a response in a note to fans on Instagram on Thursday
(11Aug16), writing: "So much has gone on this year. I can't believe
I wrapped two back to back pictures I both starred in and produced.
Now I get to return to my family, my life... To me.
"So give me a second and I will tell you everything.
Everything."
But while fans wait for his take on the feud with The Rock, the
pair's castmate Tyrese has offered up his support to Diesel in a
heartfelt Instagram post alongside a snap of himself and his Fast 8
co-star.
"Spreading love always," he began, adding, "without saying I've had
too many moments to counts (sic), too many heart too hearts (sic),
we've celebrated in too many countries, too many exchanges, too
many play dates with our angels... Our brotherhood and every moment
has inspired me to be a better man and father... So much strength
to pull from...
"I'm so... proud to call you my family and my brother... even now
I'm learning so much about sitting still and being centered in the
mist (sic) of all of this unexpected energy."
He added, "I've always said that if ONLY people knew how hard you
work to protect this franchise and characters, minds would be
blown... And if no one else will jump out there and stand up I will
- You're my brother for life let's keep it positive and keep rockin
this thing."
