True Detective and Veep double up at Television Critics Association Awards
Breaking Bad, True Detective and comedy show Veep were the big winners at the Television Critics Association Awards in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday (19Jul14), picking up five of the night's top honors.
Breaking Bad was named Program of the Year for the second year running, while acclaimed drama True Detective picked up Best Mini-Series and the show's star, Matthew McConaughey, claimed the Best Individual Performance in a Drama prize for his role as tortured cop Rust Cohle.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus picked up the Best Individual Performance in
Comedy award, while her show Veep tied for Best Comedy Series with
Louie.
