Tiffany Thornton's husband killed in car crash
Actress Tiffany Thornton is in mourning after learning her husband, singer and TV personality Chris Carney, has lost his life in a car accident in Arkansas.
The former Disney star's spouse of four years died in the early hours of Friday (04Dec15) after the driver of a car he was a passenger in lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a tree. Both Carney and his pal, driver Ezekiel Blanton, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Carney, 35, had enjoyed his own taste of fame as a castmember of
MTV reality show twentyfourseven, while he also served as the
former frontman of rock group The Prom Kings.
He and Thornton, who are parents to three-year-old Kenneth and
one-year-old Bentley, briefly separated following the birth of
their second son last year (14), but they reconciled and recently
moved back to Hot Springs, Arkansas, where Carney's mother is the
mayor, reports TMZ.com.
Thornton, 29, has yet to comment on the tragedy, her second
heartbreaking loss this week (begs30Nov15) - on Thursday (03Dec15),
she shared a photo collage of pal Brittany Blanton, who recently
passed away.
"I keep thinking this can't be real," she added in a caption. "One
of my very best friends is gone and the place she holds in my heart
will never be filled. Brittany was one of the coolest people I've
ever known, filled with the loudest and most contagious laughter, a
huge heart, a beautiful smile and an unbelievable faith in others
that not a lot of people have."
Blanton served as one of Thornton's bridesmaids at her 2011
wedding, alongside her Sonny with a Chance co-star Demi Lovato.
The Cool for the Summer singer appeared to express her shock at the
double dose of sad news via Twitter on Friday, simply tweeting,
"This isn't real". She has yet to elaborate on the message.
