The Vampire Diaries Star to Front New Dynasty Revamp
The Vampire Diaries star Nathalie Kelley has snagged the lead in a new Dynasty reboot.
Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage have revamped the hit 1980s soap opera for a revival on U.S. cable network The CW, and now they have their leading lady.
The actress, who plays Sybil on The Vampire Diaries, has been
tapped to play Cristal Carrington in the new show, which will
revisit the turf war between wealthy Californian families the
Carringtons and the Colbys.
It is not known who will play her nemesis, Fallon Carrington.
Kelley, who was born in Peru and grew up in Australia, also
appeared in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
Richard and Esther Shapiro, creators of the original Dynasty series
which ran for nine seasons throughout the 1980s, will return to
executive produce the revamp, according to The Hollywood
Reporter.
