The Rock shut down Ballers set for baby
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson shut down the set of his TV show Ballers so he could be at the birth of his daughter.
The action star has been dating Lauren Hashian since 2007 and in December (15) they welcomed little Jasmine. It was earlier than expected and took the actor, who was working on TV sports drama Ballers at the time, by surprise.
"That was a great conversation... 3 o'clock in the afternoon, I'm
on the set of Ballers, I get a text from my girlfriend saying:
'We're inducing at 6, baby comes tonight,'" Dwayne recalled in an
interview with Extra. "Three weeks early! I pull my director aside
and say: 'Buddy, we're shutting it all down.' So for two weeks we
shut Ballers down. But it's great, we're back to shooting now."
The doting dad would clearly do anything for his daughter and also
revealed he's been getting hands-on for fatherhood. No task is too
big for the muscle man.
"I do everything!" he laughed. "I change diapers, I do it all,
because I'm a man and a half and I do everything."
Dwayne should be used to the process by now, as he also has
daughter Simone, 14, with his ex-wife Dany Garcia. His eldest even
got a taste of her father's glitzy lifestyle on Sunday (10Jan16),
as he took her along as his date to the Golden Globes.
Dressed in a lacy black dress, the dark-haired beauty looked
stunning next to her dapper father in a red velvet jacket and smart
trousers.
On the night Dwayne helped present the Best Actress in a Limited
Series or Motion Picture for TV prize alongside Jennifer Lopez. The
star clearly had a great time, but now it's business as usual as he
returns to shooting Ballers.
"We owned the night! THANK YOU #GoldenGlobes for a spectacular
evening. Wheels up and Miami bound. #BALLERS set here I come. Let's
shoot. Ball so hard.. #VelvetBlaze (sic)," he wrote on
Instagram.
