Taylor Swift writing with Ed Sheeran

Taylor Swift is giving Ed Sheeran a boost in his efforts to crack the Billboard charts after collaborating with the British singer.

The singer enjoyed a stellar 2011 after shooting to fame in the U.K. with his debut album +, and now he is hoping for a taste of Stateside success after meeting up with Swift for a songwriting session.

He hinted at the collaboration in a cryptic post on his Twitter.com page on Tuesday (15May12), tweeting, "Writing songs with a very cool artist today..." before later telling fans, "In and Out Burger, defacing guitars and writing music with Taylor Swift."

On her Twitter page, Swift writes, "Eating cheeseburgers, scribbling on guitars, writing songs with Ed Sheeran."
