Taylor Swift to take over Hollywood for free concert

Taylor Swift is set to play a free concert in the heart of Hollywood for comedian Jimmy Kimmel's late night talk show.

The Shake It Off hitmaker will shut down Hollywood Boulevard for an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on 23 October (14) - four days before the release of her fifth album, 1989.

Last year (13), the quarter-mile stretch of the fabled street, which houses the Walk of Fame, was closed down for Justin Timberlake and Paul McCartney, whose two free gigs attracted thousands of fans.
