Taylor Swift salutes pal Ruby Rose at the GLAAD Media Awards
Taylor Swift stunned pal Ruby Rose at the 2016 GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday night (02Apr16), by showing up to hand her a top prize.
The pop star wowed the audience at the Beverly Hilton Hotel when she hit the stage to hand the Orange is the New Black star the Stephen F. Kolzak Award.
Taylor then posted a photo of herself and Rose kissing singer Troye

"My first GLAAD Awards!! So happy to present @rubyrose with the
Stephen F Kolzak Award (and watch her make a touching, funny, and
poignant speech) then we run into @troyesivan?!?! I love
tonight."
It was also a big night for Demi Lovato, who was honored with the
Vanguard Award, which is presented to "media professionals who have

To celebrate her latest accolade, the 23-year-old tweeted a picture
of a congratulatory letter she received from former First Lady and
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton earlier on Saturday
(02Apr16).
The pop star was handed her award by pal and tour mate Nick Jonas,
who also took to social media, writing, "I was so humbled and
honored to be in that room tonight with so many incredible people
from the LGBT community... This was one of my proudest moments as
her friend. To see the lives she's touched and how she is
constantly true to who she is."
Other GLAAD Media Awards winners included Bessie (Outstanding TV
Movie or Limited Series), Carol (Outstanding Film), Transparent
(Outstanding Comedy Series), and Ricky Martin (Outstanding
Spanish-Language Music Artist).
