Taylor Swift's ex Harry Styles joins New Year's Eve performance line-up

Taylor Swift will have to share the spotlight with her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles on New Year's Eve (31Dec14) after his band One Direction joined the line up to ring in 2015 as part of the bi-coastal broadcast of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.

The Shake It Off hitmaker, who was recently appointed the Big Apple's new tourism ambassador, will headline the end-of-year spectacular in Times Square, while One Direction will be among the performers hitting the stage in Los Angeles in the countdown to midnight.

Pop star Fergie will return as the host of the celebrations on the West Coast, where she will treat the audience to a rendition of her comeback single L.A. Love (la la).

All About That Bass singer Meghan Trainor and Iggy Azalea's Fancy collaborator Charli XCX will also hit the stage for the Billboard Hollywood Party, which will air as part of the TV broadcast of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on 31 December (14).
