Taylor Swift packs on the PDA on Independence Day

Taylor Swift and her new beau Tom Hiddleston packed on the PDA on Independence Day as their romance became Instagram official.

The Thor star was just one of the many celebrity friends the pop star invited to her Rhode Island home to celebrate the national holiday on Monday (04Jul16), but the two clearly only had eyes for each other.

And for the first time, their relationship was flaunted on the popular social media app by Taylor's childhood friend Britany LaManna on Tuesday (05Jul16), when she posted a sweet photo of three loved-up couples at Taylor's home.

In the shot, the Style star is sitting on Tom's lap as they gaze lovingly into each other's eyes, while pregnant Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds and Britany and her husband Ben LaManna assumed similar positions next to them.

Britany didn't make any mention of her best friend's romance, but simply put an emoji of the American flag as her caption.

Meanwhile, Taylor shared her own holiday snaps on Instagram, posting a group shot of all her guests wearing American flag onesies while fireworks flashed behind them, another featured Taylor with models Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne posing with complementing red, white and blue striped swimsuits, and various shots of herself and pals sliding down a giant inflatable water slide she erected in her back garden.

Taylor also posted a photo from Sunday (03Jul16), when she and her 'girl squad' posed in their swimsuits during a frolic in the sea.

Paparazzi photos from their swim also surfaced online, notably featuring Taylor and Tom embracing and kissing in the water.

But it was Tom's shirt that garnered the most attention, as he was wearing an "I heart T.S." tank top. He further declared his feelings by sporting a temporary love heart tattoo featuring the singer's initials in the center on his right bicep.

Other stars who spent their July 4th with Taylor included models Karlie Kloss and Martha Hunt, Orange is the New Black co-stars Ruby Rose and Uzo Aduba, and singers Rachel Platten and the members of sister group Haim.
