Taylor Swift leads the way with nine nods for MTV Video Music Awards
Pop pals Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran are in for a big night at this year's (15) MTV Video Music Awards after scoring 15 nominations between them.
Swift leads the way with nine nods, including Best Female Video for Blank Space, while her star-studded promo for Bad Blood has landed seven mentions, including Video of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Direction for Joseph Khan, and Best Visual Effects.
Sheeran is close behind with six nominations - his Thinking Out
Loud garnering him recognition for Video of the Year, Best Male
Video and Best Pop Video, while Beyonce will be another star to
beat after earning five nominations, including Video of the Year,
Best Female Video and Best Pop Video for 7/11.
Other Video of the Year contenders are Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars
for Uptown Funk and Kendrick Lamar for Alright, while Nicki Minaj,
Nick Jonas, Ellie Goulding, Maroon 5 and Wiz Khalifa have all
nabbed VMA nominations, too.
Miley Cyrus will host the 2015 MTV VMAs at the Microsoft Theater in
Los Angeles on 30 August (15).
