Taylor Swift leads Radio Disney nominations
Taylor Swift will lead the way at the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards with six nominations.
The pop superstar will compete for Best Female Artist against Adele, Meghan Trainor and her best pal Selena Gomez, while her hit single Bad Blood is up for Song of the Year and Best Breakup Song.
She is also up for Artist with the Best Style, while she will face
off with five-time nominee Justin Bieber and One Direction, who
scored four nods, in the categories of Fiercest Fans and Most
Talked About Artist.
Justin will do battle with Ed Sheeran, Nick Jonas, and Shawn Mendes
for Best Male Artist, while his other nominations are for Best Song
to Lip Sync To (What Do You Mean?), and Best Breakup Song
(Sorry).
One Direction, who are currently on an extended hiatus, are also
shortlisted for Best Music Group, against Fall Out Boy, Fifth
Harmony, and R5, and Best Crush Song for Perfect.
Best New Artist will be a fight between Joe Jonas' new group DNCE,
Daya, Nathan Sykes, and Kelsea Ballerini, who is also up for
Country - Favorite Artist.
Other nominees include Ariana Grande (Best Song To Dance To for
Focus), Meghan Trainor (Best Song That Makes You Smile for Better
When I'm Dancing), and Demi Lovato (Best Anthem for Confident).
The winners will be unveiled during a ceremony in Los Angeles on 30
April (16).
