Taylor Swift adds to Teen Choice Awards nominations haul

Taylor Swift and the stars of Pitch Perfect 2 lead the second wave of Teen Choice Awards nominations with six nods apiece.

The latest nominations were announced on Wednesday (08Jul15), and Swift looks set to add another clutch of awards to her trophy cabinet with mentions in the Choice Break-Up Song (Bad Blood) and Choice Party Song (Shake It Off) categories, among others.

Meanwhile, 2NE1, 5 Seconds of Summer, Girls Generation, Little Mix, One Direction and Super Junior will battle for the Choice International Act prize; Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Swift are up for the Choice Summer Music Star: Female, and Justin Bieber, Jason Derulo, Andy Grammer, Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd will fight it out for Choice Summer Music Star: Male.

5 Seconds of Summer, Echosmith, Fifth Harmony, Little Mix, Maroon 5 and One Direction have been nominated for the Choice Summer Music Star: Group honor.

During the first wave of nominations, announced last month (Jun15), Zayn Malik discovered he'd be up against his former One Direction pals after he was shortlisted for the Choice Male Hottie trophy alongside the boy band members.

The Teen Choice Awards will take place on 16 August (15).
