Taylor Momsen had to re-record album after storm disaster

Taylor Momsen had to start her latest album "from scratch" and push back its release after the recording studio where she was working was destroyed by superstorm Sandy.

The star was laying down tracks with her band The Pretty Reckless at the Water Music Recording Studios in Hoboken, New Jersey for their new album Going To Hell when the building was devastated by the high winds and heavy rain.

Momsen lost a lot of her equipment, and she has now revealed the recordings for Going To Hell were destroyed, too.

The setback meant she had to re-record all the songs she had been working on, delaying the release of the album.

She tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "We were recording at Water Music in Hoboken. It was literally under eight feet of water so pretty much all the gear, all the recordings, everything pretty much got destroyed. We salvaged what we could, but we had to rebuild and start from scratch again."
