T.I. confirms sequel to ATL
Rapper/actor T.I. has confirmed a follow-up to his 2006 drama Atl is underway.
The coming-of-age film was the Whatever You Like hitmaker's big screen debut and now he has revealed he will be back for ATL 2 almost a decade later.
T.I., real name Clifford Harris, took to Instagram.com on Wednesday
(04Mar15) and posted a photo of himself filming in a restaurant
booth alongside co-stars Jackie Long, Albert Daniels and Jason
Wever, and added the caption, "#ATL2 Get Ready".
Director Chris Robinson reposted the snap, adding, "#ATL WAS A
CLASSIC #ATL2 WILL BE LEGENDARY!!! AND SO IT BEGINS THE CREW."
The rapper also added a photo of himself embracing actress Lauren
London, who appears to be reprising her role as T.I.'s onscreen
love interest, New-New.
The 2006 film, loosely based on the real-life experiences of
producer Dallas Austin and TLC star Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins'
upbringing in Atlanta, Georgia.
ATL also featured appearances from Outkast's Big Boi, Evan Ross,
rappers Jazze Pha and Killer Mike and R&B star Monica.
