Supermodel Bar Refaeli married
Supermodel Bar Refaeli is a married woman after exchanging vows with fiance Adi Ezra in Israel on Thursday (24Sep15).
Leonardo DiCaprio's ex wed in a traditional Jewish ceremony, conducted by Rabbi Yitzchak Dovid, in front of more than 300 friends and family members at the Carmel Forest Spa Resort near Haifa.
The bride, 30, wore a gown made by fashion house Chloe and walked
down the aisle to the sounds of Israeli singer Shlomi Shabbat, who
performed his song The Beginning of the World.
A source tells E! News, "The ceremony was so magical, filled with
close friends and family and a few notable names and models. The
location was stunning. Bar couldn't be happier!"
The wedding took place days after the model and her
then-groom-to-be had a request to close the airspace over the venue
overturned.
Refaeli and Ezra had initially been granted the no-fly zone by
local aviation officials last week (ends18Sep15), but the decision
was later overruled by Israeli transport minister, Yisrael Katz,
following widespread criticism.
Katz told Israel's Civil Aviation Authority bosses, "The skies
belong to the entire public and exclusivity cannot be granted for
commercial reasons for high-profile people."
And, addressing the head of the CAA directly, he raged, "If the
skies above Bar Refaeli's wedding won't be open, you will be
removed from your post."
The couple was unsuccessful in appealing Katz's ruling and the air
space remained open during the nuptials.
Reports suggest a helicopter, a hot air balloon and several drones
were spotted in the skies above the resort during the celebrations
as local paparazzi went to extremes to capture images from the
outdoor ceremony.
It's Refaeli's second marriage. She was previously wed to Arik
Weinstein.
