Rapper Stormzy was a triple winner at the 2017 MOBO Awards in Britain on Wednesday night (29Nov17).

The Shut Up star was named Best Male and Best Grime Act, while he also claimed Best Album for Gang Signs & Prayer at the ceremony in Leeds, England.

However, it wasn't a clean sweep for Stormzy as he lost out to fellow MC J Hus' Did You See for Best Song, and rapper Mist walked away with the Best Video prize for Hot Property.

Meanwhile, Best Hip-Hop Act went to Giggs, Stefflon Don won the Best Female accolade, and Dave was named Best Newcomer.

The Best International Act was awarded to Nigeria's Wizkid, who beat out the likes of music heavyweights JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake, his collaborator on One Dance.

Other winners included Craig David, who was presented with the Best R&B/Soul title, and Damian Marley, who scored Best Reggae, while actor and DJ Idris Elba was honored for his contribution to British culture.

The MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards ceremony celebrates achievements in black or urban music.
