Step Up All In director signs on for Pitch Perfect 3

Pitch Perfect 3 has a new director and her predecessor Elizabeth Banks couldn't be happier.

The Hunger Games star made he directorial debut behind the lens for the franchise sequel, but backed out of taking charge of another film, and now Step Up All In's Trish Sie has been announced as her replacement.

Banks, who is one of the producers and stars of the franchise, made the big reveal on Thursday (01Sep16) via Twitter, posting a photo of herself and Sie together and adding the caption: "#PitchPerfect has a new leader - so excited @bigbadtrish is directing #PP3!"

Sie only has one film to her credit as a director, but she is also a choreographer and was one of the brains behind rock group Ok Go's recent Upside Down & Inside Out video, which was shot in zero gravity. She also helped come up with the concept for the band's breakout promo Here it Goes Again, in which the quartet performed on moving treadmills.

Sie is the sister of Ok Go frontman Damian Kulash.
