Solange Knowles blames wedding hives on heat

Beyonce's sister Solange Knowles has put her nasty skin breakout on her wedding day down to the soaring temperatures in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The singer exchanged vows with music video director Alan Ferguson on Sunday (16Nov14), but she sparked fears for her health when pictures showed her face covered in painful looking hives and welts.

Knowles, who wore an unusual jumpsuit and cape for her big day, has now explained the incident, blaming the skin disaster on the high temperatures and revealing she toasted her marriage with a dose of anti-allergy medication Benadryl.

She writes in a post on Twitter.com, "Yesterday, I had the best day of my life and ended it with an abundance of peace, love over flowing through me like never before. Words only understate the feelings I experienced, but I want to thank you for all of your beautiful sentiments. I'm now one, with the one... Last but not least... Shout out to Benadryl yo, LOL (laugh out loud). Nothing was gonna stop me..."

When a follower asked what caused the hives, she added, "Got em (them) from turning up x100 during our second line. I was hot, wearing a cape, & happy..."
